|
BioBen was born in Ware (where?!?) Massachusetts. He’s been interested in sculpture and photography from a young age. High school metal shop first sparked Ben’s interest in welding, forging, and metal fabrication. Ben studied welding and sculpture briefly at Mass Art. In addition, Ben’s photography has been published in National Park Service brochures and publications. He is currently fulfilling his fourth enlistment term in the U.S. Coast Guard. His previous enlistments include serving as the last active-duty lighthouse keeper in the U.S. at Boston Light. Ben’s lighthouse career has been the subject of numerous magazine and newspaper articles. He’s been featured in television programs airing on the History Channel, National Geographic, several local news stations, Coastal Living Magazine, The Smithsonian, and the 2004 edition of Massachusetts 24/7. Ben currently lives near Mount Desert Island off the coast of Maine, where Dead Fish Studio is located. |
